MIA Post - November 2012

We started out November by going to see Wreck It Ralph.  It was Kinsley's very first movie theatre experience.  She was nervous and kept her hands over her ears at first.  She got over it quickly though.
Election Day was a big day for us at school.  We voted for who we wanted to be President.

The girls got to spend the night with Grammy and Sarge.  They ate at The Cracker Barrel and played checkers out on the front porch.

We went to Paw Paw Dave's house to spend some quality time with him.  We watched Cars 2 on his HUGE TV and we roasted marshmallows on the fire pit.

November always brings Parents Night at dance. We were there 3 days in a row.

Miss Shelby walking them through their passes in tap.

My favorite picture of Kinsley.  I need to get this one in a frame.

Miss Keely teaching Kinsley how to skip.

Katie at ballet.

Katie in jazz.

Our friend, Brant, held his annual Christmas party in November.  Warren Storm, the Godfather of Swamp Pop, performed.  We had a good night dancing the night away.

It was my mom's and stepdad's anniversary.  They showed up at the party.  I was thrilled.

We get a week off for Thanksgiving.  Thank goodness for that because our tree would never get put up if we didn't.  Just way too tired after school to do such a big task.  I used to put it up the day after Thanksgiving, but I now do the whole Black Friday thing.  Being up in the middle of the night, shopping all day, and then coming home to do the tree does not make for good times.  I now put the tree up the week of Thanksgiving, that way I can come home on Black Friday and sleep.

Our little friend, Michael Jackson showed up after the tree was put up.  The girls were so excited.

His first bit of mischief.  NEVER AGAIN.  Sprinkles bounce....EVERYWHERE.

Thanksgiving day is always spent at my mom's.  We pig out.  I got to spend some time with my mom, sisters, grandmother, aunts and cousin.

My babies on Thanksgiving Day.

Yummy!

My aunt, cousin, and our newest members of the family, Mr. Jaxson and Miss Ava.

The nut doesn't fall too far from the tree...LOL.

I love my momma!

Black Friday shopping with my sisters.  SO MUCH FUN!!!

Our miracle baby, Journey, turned 1!!!

Michael Jackson ended the month of November by elfing the girls.  They watched it over and over again.

MIA Post - October 2012

I love October!  It's my favorite time of the year.  Bring on the holidays!!!
Kinsley came home from daycare.  She said, "I eat dirt!"

It's October and this is the first time all year that we saw an icecream truck in our neighborhood.

Our annual Character Parade Day.  I'm Raggedy Ann and she's a very mad Lalaloopsie.

My dad and stepmother like to take the girls once a month.  They went to Pleasure Island and watched sharks!  I got a call the next morning that Kinsley had been throwing up all night.  They kept Katie for me while I took care of Kinsley.

Sick baby.

Grammy always does fun things with them.

Katie came home the next day.  We thought we kept her away long enough, but she got hit with the bug as well.  Guess who has to stay up with two pukey babies all night.  ME!

A teacher friend of mine's daughter had her 6th birthday the following weekend.  Everyone was better so we made our way over to Mrs. Arabie's house for Caroline's Minnie Mouse themed birthday party.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Katie.  I wish the lighting had been better.

When Kinsley was sick, Grammy and Maw Maw split some time with Katie.  Katie, Lily, and Breanna got to go to the pumpkin patch.

We had our first field trip of the school year in October.  It was also camo day at school for Red Ribbon Week.  We went to the fire station and to the park.

I really do not like when Halloween falls during the week.  Makes it hard for us to get home and get ready, plus everything ends so late so we're really pressed for time.
My two Lalaloopsies.

Grammy and Sarge came by to see the girls all dressed up.  They make it a point to stop by every year.  Love them bunches!

Me and my sister with our girls.

Family photo.

We went to our church's block party for Halloween.  They had a band playing, puppet shows, petting zoo, bounce houses, and lots of games.  As well as hot dogs and soft drinks, popcorn, and cotton candy.  It was a great time.

Ready for November!

MIA Post - September 2012

September is usually a little busy because we're trying to get back into the swing of things and dance starts.  This was Katie's first year in jazz and she couldn't wait.  She's now in ballet, jazz, and tap.  This is Kinsley's first year in dance.  She's in baby ballet.  She couldn't wait to wear her tutu.
Katie's first day of dance.  We had to bring Kinsley to the ENT to have her hearing tested to make sure that her hearing isn't causing her articulation problems.  Daddy had to come and get Katie.  I hated that I couldn't bring her to her first dance class of the season, but we had to do this for Kinsley.

She was such a big girl.  Her hearing is fine!

Kinsley's first day of baby ballet.  Isn't she the cutest baby ballerina ever?

Since Katie and I have lunch at the same time this year, we have decided to make a new tradition of eating lunch together every Friday.  She really enjoys it.

Katie made me this.  I am proudly displaying it in my room.

Katie and her friends showing their school spirit.  It's fun having teacher kids the same age as your own.  Keeps her busy while I'm finishing things up after school.

When school starts, so do the fundraisers.  We made a trip over to my sister's house to hit her up for our fundraiser.  I love this picture.  It amazes me how much Katie looks like her Nonnie.

Grammy happened to be at Nonnie's house too.  We killed two birds with one stone.  She got to spend time with all three of her granddaughters.

We then hit up my other sister, Amy.  The girls got to meet Miss Ava for the first time.

That's September in a nutshell.
